Haha well people really like this song for some reason..it's one of our top selling songs on itunes

WTH?

This is by far your best song and even your worst song is better than most suff I see on here. I agree with the statement about originality and the questioning of the low score. Gave it a five and that's what it deserves. The peace and the hard fuzz are a great contrast. I love it. Favoriting both you and this kickass song.

It's good

The drums were a little bland, although its not as if I could do better, they still sound better than what I do. But when listening to all of your songs, the super fuzz on the guitar gets a little tired, which makes the songs sort of...indistinct. Maybe you could experiment with some different effects on the guitar rather than this default one you use a lot. Very happy song, I liked the mood. Nice bass intro with the drums too. But then I lose the bass in the guitar =(. Another strong piece of music though, I'm liking your stuff.

Cornilious responds:

The drums I can't do much about since they're sequenced. I'd love to record my own but 1. my set sounds like crap and 2. I can't play most of the complex hi-hat work (especially in this song).
I'm a guitar guy at heart so I tend to mix the bass a little too low.
If you listen to this with nice headphones on, the bass comes out very well.
I'm going to cut the fuzzyness out pretty soon after the next song, which goes overboard with distortion.
This was meant to be a little jam, nothing really complex so I didn't expect much.

This is great

I usually despise phaser effects but this one worked well. Great drums. How exactly do you do those?

Cornilious responds:

I try not to go overkill on the effects (and I will NEVER use a flanger, by the way, only phasers).
I found some alright drum samples (single hits, not whole beats) and I sequence them in FL. There are a few effects on them (can't remember exactly what they are right now, but I know there's compression on the set, slight reverb on the set, and equalization on the snare).

wowza

omfg this song is amazing. I love the first guitar part. The really fuzzy one. It's like...idk...its like the ocean turned to electric guitar sound and i was on it's beach...if that makes sense? We its got a certain grandeur to it.

Cornilious responds:

That first guitar has extremely heavy fuzz but the main thing that makes it sound like that is the HUGE amount of reverb put on it. There is no dry signal, only the wet signal of the reverb created by the original notes so it kind of swells instead of starting loud and fading.
Thanks!

I don't know why...

...but this song makes me think of Sonic the Hedgehog with guns. I'm sorry that's random but it really does though. Not that that's a bad thing. Sick song i loved it! the only thing I can think of are that the drums sound a little thin. Toot trebly if that makes sense. I use the drumsets in garageband with the musical typing feature and they are nowhere near as fast or complicated as the ones in yours, but i think they do have a bit of a fatter sound. Great music all around though!

Cornilious responds:

Haha the Sonic thing is really funny because I was thinking about running nonstop, and the verses were like catching your breath.
I think I filtered the drums a little too much on this one. If I ever re-record this I'll make sure that isn't an issue.
I'm getting Logic Studio soon (at least I think so) so I'm sure to have some good drum sets.

Im not quite sure

sometimes the rhythm was off and i got kinda boring cos it was th same over and over, but, if expanded on it would be FREAKIN AWESOME. btw....amazing job wit musical typing the solo.

Incredible!

Amazing work. It's not overly done and everythings amazing. I especially liked the beginning part with the downplayed drums and then the explosion into a frenzy of feeling and action. It's tension rings out before the pause and combustion of noise and feeling. It's pure and heartfelt.

nubbinownz responds:

Thank you. I really appreciate the genuine review! :D <3
