eh ok i suppose

I like the drums, but i was expecting an indie song and was disappointed. Sounds disjointed, especially with the descending choir like part, which just annoyed me. I would hate it without the drums at the end. 6/10 3/5

Tarteviant responds:

Thanks my friend :)

So beautiful..

People need to get past the actual sound and listen to the music. I dont care if there are mistakes, this is literally the most artistic and wonderful thing on newgrounds. Your voice is hauntingly beautiful. 5/5 10/10 and favorited.

Finn-McXild responds:

Thank you so much! I'm glad the song moved you so profoundly. :)

good

i was kinda disappointed, expected indie...got electronic instead...

FunnyCop responds:

:P I'm glad you can tell the deference some people just look at what genre the artist sets the piece as, and thinks that the piece sounds like what the genre is, but its really a different genre. :D

sick!

i guess this morphed from a crappy classical song to an amazing...um...song!
love the stuttering drums, Im not sure why but it puts me in the mind of:

full body rollerskating. it has absolutely nothing to with this gorgeous song, but it was the first thing that popped into my head when I heard this.

Sawdust responds:

Hah, thanks, man! I'm glad you liked it!

sweet

all around sweet. awesome melody and nice intentions. this song can easily bring you to your "happy place".

I really enjoyed this, nothing to be done to improve it.

Calamaistr responds:

Tbh i only dislike a certain key of the piano because it always ends within one whole second of being pressed for some reason (its a recording problem i guess, nothing to be done about it.)

Anyway, i still play this track on real piano now and then.

certainly interesting

I can definately see this being used in an arcade type game. I'm sorry but the superspeedyfast drums bring down the piece. I think if the drums had not been so frantic, the piece would have been a solid 8. at parts the drums didnt really match the other parts. I can also see this being split up into a couple separate songs.

rev req club kinda

shizeet responds:

Thanks for the review. The drums in the middle might be bit fast, but I don't think it's that atypical for some DnB stuff. But in the end it's all up to taste.
Also, for splitting into multiple songs, I imagine it could work, though my aim was to keep it somewhat holistic even with all the variations.

OK im wayyy overrating this but its just too funny

this song is too ridiculous.....sooooo childish....yet i cant diss the musical quality of this song...ur lucky i love ska otherwise this wud get 0/5 and 0/10. i giv it a 0/5 and a 5/10...conflicting scores cos i hav no idea what to think of this song. this was pretty much a waste of a review...

giftedbuttwisted responds:

Haha well people really like this song for some reason..it's one of our top selling songs on itunes

It's good

The drums were a little bland, although its not as if I could do better, they still sound better than what I do. But when listening to all of your songs, the super fuzz on the guitar gets a little tired, which makes the songs sort of...indistinct. Maybe you could experiment with some different effects on the guitar rather than this default one you use a lot. Very happy song, I liked the mood. Nice bass intro with the drums too. But then I lose the bass in the guitar =(. Another strong piece of music though, I'm liking your stuff.

Cornilious responds:

The drums I can't do much about since they're sequenced. I'd love to record my own but 1. my set sounds like crap and 2. I can't play most of the complex hi-hat work (especially in this song).
I'm a guitar guy at heart so I tend to mix the bass a little too low.
If you listen to this with nice headphones on, the bass comes out very well.
I'm going to cut the fuzzyness out pretty soon after the next song, which goes overboard with distortion.
This was meant to be a little jam, nothing really complex so I didn't expect much.

This is great

I usually despise phaser effects but this one worked well. Great drums. How exactly do you do those?

Cornilious responds:

I try not to go overkill on the effects (and I will NEVER use a flanger, by the way, only phasers).
I found some alright drum samples (single hits, not whole beats) and I sequence them in FL. There are a few effects on them (can't remember exactly what they are right now, but I know there's compression on the set, slight reverb on the set, and equalization on the snare).

wowza

omfg this song is amazing. I love the first guitar part. The really fuzzy one. It's like...idk...its like the ocean turned to electric guitar sound and i was on it's beach...if that makes sense? We its got a certain grandeur to it.

Cornilious responds:

That first guitar has extremely heavy fuzz but the main thing that makes it sound like that is the HUGE amount of reverb put on it. There is no dry signal, only the wet signal of the reverb created by the original notes so it kind of swells instead of starting loud and fading.
Thanks!

12! Pork! Odwalla odwalla! The end. i am mkedzierski on soundcloud.
